I woke up this morning and threw on NFL Network. I see “Breaking News” come across the bottom of the screen that says (CB)Eric Wright is active for today’s game. Now, to some of you, that might not be such a big deal. Eric Wright was in a life threatening car accident earlier this week. This guy almost loses his life in a car accident and is prepped and ready to go against a tough Packers team, today. That is one tough f***ing dude. I just wanted to give this guy some props for being tough enough to say…”you know what…my team needs me to go to war with them today”. Regardless of how he ends up playing today, I think i’ll always remember the name, Eric Wright.

This weeks Who’s Hot / Who’s Not is for one late (really late) due to Adam’s wedding (which was a blast by the way). This one is going to be short and sweet because timing is not good at putting this out….but here are my picks for this week.

WHO”S HOT :

1) (QB)Eli Manning – New York Giants (vs. Arizona Cardinals)
Why : The Cardinals rank second to last in pass defense (#31/32) allowing an average of 265.2 yards per game and have given up 9 passing TD’s

2) (RB)DeAngelo Williams – Carolina Panthers (vs. Buffalo Bills)
Why : The Bills and their banged up defense rank dead last (#32/32) in rush defense having given up a staggering average of 181.8 rushing yards per game as well as 8 total rushing TD’s.

3) (WR)Johnny Knox – Chicago Bears (@Cincinnati Bengals)
Why : The Bengals rank (#28/32) in pass defense and have given up 9 passing TD’s.

4) (TE)Dallas Clark – Indianapolis Colts (@ St. Louis Rams)
Why: The Rams rank (#27/32) in pass defense and have given up an average of 252 yards per game with 8 TD’s.

5) (WR)Mohamed Massaquoi – Cleveland Browns (vs. Green Bay Packers)
Why : My sleeper pick of the week is going up against a pass defense that ranks (#10/32) with an average of 192.6 passing yards per game, but they also have given up 9 passing touchdowns. I know Cleveland is a dismal team, but I see (QB)Derek Anderson connecting with Massaquoi for a TD this week.

WHO’S NOT

1) (QB)Donovan McNabb – Philadelphia Eagles (@Washington Redskins)
Why : The Redskins rank third (#3/32) in pass defense, giving up an average of 169 yards per game with only 5 passing TD’s allowed.

2) (RB)Cedric Benson – Cincinnati Bengals (vs. Chicago Bears)
Why : The Bears rank (#6/32) in rush defense allowing an average of 88.4 yards per game with 5 rushing TD’s. I don’t think the Bears will take to Cedric Benson’s claim of the Bears “black-balling” him lightly.

3) (WR)Any Wide Receiver – Oakland Raiders (vs. New York Jets)
Why : The Jets rank (#8/32) in pass defense giving up an average of 187.7 yards per game with only 4 TD’s allowed.

4) (TE)Derek Fine – Buffalo Bills (@Carolina Panthers)
Why : The Panthers rank second (#2/32) in pass defense allowing an average of 156.8 yards per game with only 6 TD’s allowed.

5) (RB)Michael Turner – Atlanta Falcons (@Dallas Cowboys)
Why : The Cowboys are ranked (#17/32) in rush defense allowing an average of 106.4 rushing yards per game but have only given up 2 rushing TD’s all season. So owners “beware”!
